The uncertainty in my life at the moment is driving me a bit batty. I knit, and I give away. I forget to photograph a lot of the time.
I shop. Oh, not for clothes or shoes. That would be too normal. No, I grocery shop. I was 9 when my mother turned Popou’s grocery list over to me and got me my first Shoppers Club Card. I’m good at it. Perhaps not as good as he was, but I’m getting there.
I love to cook, but I don’t get to do it often. I’m on the House’s meal plan, but I cook a meal for 15 people every Sunday night, just to scratch the itch and we’re on our own Saturdays.
This week was Spring Break, so the grocery list is a bit larger than usual…
I’m going to start taking better notes, but here’s last week’s Price Chopper list.
Random Thoughts:
1. Price Chopper is… not fussy about coupons.
2. I did okay, but I’ve yet to break 50% off. I still think it’s possible…
3. I did have to go back for a two dollar bottle of lemon juice because I forgot it.
4. My freezer is full of meat, I am not buying more until we eat half of it.
Meals:
Wed: Authentic Takeout Pork Lo-mein (Required a 20 investment at the Asian Mart, but it will last a few months and I made excellent bbq pork)
Thurs: Marinated Lamb with yogurt sauce and rice (I set the kitchen on fire, undercooked the steaks. But he loves me, so we microwaved the steaks for a minute, put out the grease fire and opened a bottle of wine)
Fri: Thai Salmon w/leftover rice (Cooked by the lovely Boy, since I was feeling down)
Sat: My Special Shrimp w/white sauce (Good for leftovers)
Sunday: Cooked Meal Plan for House, Kung Pao Chicken and Scallion Pancakes
