My life, in a place none of my friends will read it

How much of your life can be a lie before you start to doubt yourself? You can think you know people, your parents, your best friends, but everyone has secrets. Sometimes, those secrets are pretty harmless. Sometimes, you find out about them and lie awake at night analyzing the past ten years of your life.

I started a scarf today, on size 17 needles, because I need to stop thinking about this. You cannot change the past, you cannot analyze everything to death. You just have to move on.

New Finished Objects

Mandala Hat, kinda! I screwed up the colors, but it fits.

and a camera case for my shiny new Kodak.

The New Food Yarns

You know, I love yarn. I do. But... the idea of making corn and even milk into yarn kinda bothers me, the same way the biofuel movement does. There were food riots in Mexico last year about corn shortages. Not that anyone noticed. And milk, milk is almost four dollars a gallon here, and I live within a short drive of cows. On the other hand, soy yarn doesn't make me twitchy, even though it's a food product, and one I eat no less. Maybe that's because we never hear about soy shortages.

The idea of ecofriendly bamboo yarn really excites me, even if the process isn't perfected yet.

I haven't forgot this blog

and I have been knitting. A lot. But the camera moved out and I just replaced it.

Keep an eye out for the slipper socks of Cthulhu.
